Funerals and Memorials

A Family Rooted in Christ, Growing in Grace, and Living in Love

In the Christian community, death is a corporate experience that touches the life of the entire family of faith.  When a death occurs, either the immediate family or the funeral director will contact one of the pastors.  The pastors will work with you and the funeral director in the planning of the service.

The service recognizes both the pain and sorrow of the separation that accompanies death and the hope and joy of the promises of God to those who die and are raised in Jesus Christ.

Eden works closely with all area funeral homes to meet the needs of the bereaved.  The pastors regularly conduct the services at the funeral home and/or graveside.  Funeral services are also conducted at the church.  Your funeral director will help you coordinate the setting and time.

Many families find that a luncheon following the graveside service is a first step in the healing process.  If a luncheon is desired, the family will be put in touch with our Women's Guild in order to coordinate the event.

When the family meets with the funeral director they are often asked about memorials.  Eden is always honored to be the beneficiary of memorials.  The pastors will gladly talk about the use of memorials.
