 A Family Rooted in Christ, Growing in Grace, and Living in Love While we appear to be in uncertain economic times at the national level, your endowment committee is pleased to report a sense of increased stewardship and giving from Eden’s leadership and congregation. Let this serve as a reminder that making a planned gift to Eden Church creates a lasting statement about your personal commitment to our Lord and can possibly generate important tax benefits for you and your family. Giving through the endowment committee can be a one-time gift that often includes bequests, or it can be structured to meet your personal wishes over a period of time. While tithing can be used for everyday expenses in the life of the church, gifts to the endowment committee can be considered “gifts that keep on giving”. Endowment gifts are invested, and only income (interest) from those investments is spent. The principal of your gifts stays in the endowment fund, continuing to earn income into the future so that we can use that income for our varied programs. |
