Thursday Afternoon: Faith Builders Adult Bible Study

Description: We are currently studying a resource based on the movie Fireproof.  Probably the longest running Bible Study of Eden Church is the Adult Bible Study which currently meets on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at Eden Village. We have chosen the name of Faith Builders because of our continued quest to expand and develop a closer relationship with God. Our curriculum in the last few years has consisted of reading and discussing Max Lucado’s books. Max is a prolific author and master story teller who has helped us understand many of the themes of the Bible. That is not to say that we don’t question some of his thoughts, but we have been challenged to think more deeply and to become closer to God. Besides studying, we pray, share our lives, and laugh a lot. Our next unit of study will be the video Fireproof. We will view the video and have a Bible study and discussion based upon the focus of the video. This unit of study will begin March 31, 2011. We welcome any new members.
Meets: Thursdays at 1:30 pm
Where: Eden Village, 300 South Station Road, Glen Carbon, Illinois

Friday Noon: Women's Bible Study

Description: This group meets bi-weekly.  It's made up of women (many with preschoolers and young children) who are interested in fellowship and Bible study. We meet two Fridays a month, and we usually look at the upcoming month to determine which days will work for the greatest number of members. We meet in the Eden Leather Lounge from 12:30 - 2. Some people leave by 1:30 to return to work - the rest of us finish if we need to or chat for a few minutes.  We are now studying the New Testament book of Hebrews.
Meets: Alternate Fridays during the lunch hour
