Amer-Haitian Bon Zami (AHBZ), formed in 1976, is a cooperative work between the Haitian and U. S. staffs. “Bon Zami” means good friends in Haitian Creole. One of their ministries is House of Hope Children’s home in a Port-au-Prince suburb. The mission of House of Hope is to care for orphaned and abandoned children of Haiti, preparing them to be well-rounded adults, who can provide for themselves and their impoverished nation along with establishing a bond of friendship and understanding between Americans and Haitians.
Another mission is Patti’s School which answers the need for quality education in Haiti. In addition, AHBZ is in the process of building House of Hope Clinic to first care for the children attending Patti’s school, and then their families. For additional information, please see www.ahbz.org.
The Eden Church Adult Sunday School Class and Guild Circle 3 support this ministry.
