The Glen-Ed Ministerial Alliance is a cooperative venture of the churches of Edwardsville and Glen Carbon. The group meets monthly for breakfast to keep each other up to date on activities, plan a few ecumenical events and pray specifically for the community.

Through the years, the organization has helped to create or sustain agencies like The Glen-Ed Food Pantry, Faith in Action and most recently, Habitat for Humanity. The Alliance provides financial assistance for transient relief through food and bus vouchers, as well as overnight lodging. The group works closely with local police departments and businesses in order to provide these services. In addition, the Alliance coordinates the annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast and the Community Thanksgiving Service.
